Edward Christopher Sheeran, is an English singer and songwriter, producer and a guitarist. Most people know him because of his world-wide success with songs such as “Shape of you”. Before the world knew him for his success he was born in west Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham.
Most people had no idea who sheeran was until the year 2011, Ed independently released an extended play no 5 collaborations. He later signed with Aslyum Records and his debut album was released later that year and has been certified platinum a record seven times in the UK.
His popularity began to rise in 2012 after he made a guest appearance in Taylor Swift’s album. The “A team”song was nominated for the song of the year at the 2013 Grammy Awards where he performed the song with Elton John.
He later on released his second album “multiply” on June 2014, which did well as it peaked at number one in the UK and US. He went ahead to win numerous awards such as the Album of the year, two Grammy awards, Song of the year and best solo performance.
Sheeran’s fan base continued to grow after he was being viewed in You tube videos. He later on released his third album in March 2017, which debuted at number one in the US and UK. The songs which propelled his album into number one include “shape of you” and “Castle on the hill”. He became the first musician to have two songs in the US top 10 charts.
Ed Sheeran’s career has exponentially grown in a span of a few years. He is a global brand. He continues to perform and release great songs. He continues to hit the radio stations with great hits, and his brand continues to sell massively all over the world
